Our religious education program (CCD) is open to children of St. Joseph/St. Michael parish in grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade.  Our curriculum has recently been updated using the Sadlier, Inc. religious education series for parishes. We work in conjunction with parental involvement to raise children in the Catholic Faith. All parents of children in Confirmation are required to attend a mandatory meeting with their children before classes begin to go over the policies of the Sacraments.

First Holy Communion & First Confession

This is a time of great joy for a child, his or her family, our parish, and for all of Heaven as young boys and girls receive the very Real Presence of our Lord in this most unique Sacrament.  The proper age of reason for a child's reception of the Most Sacred Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is seven (7) years old.  The primary environment for the proper education and preparation for this Sacrament is at home with the child's parents.  St. Joseph Church provides an interactive program for parents and children to learn about Holy Communion and good preparation for a child's first confession.  All children preparing for these Sacraments must be registered in our Religious Education program, and the family must be registered on our parish census
